The July Edit
A love list, wish list and finds from The Real Real
Last month was a whirlwind in the very best way, so I’ve been excited to sit down and share everything on my mind — the summer love list + wish list.
Love List
We have been in East Tennessee post wedding festivities, soaking up the magic of the Smoky Mountains. The trees are lush and my nervous system has been in a state of bliss attributed to consistent forest bathing. The summer here is a sensory explosion. The wind whispers and the chimes sound and the cicadas chat off and on throughout the day. The air is humid but the breeze promises a reprieve and the trees offer shade almost anywhere you are.
I typically have trouble napping but I’ve been able to unwind into an afternoon catnap on the patio almost every day.
The variety of wildflowers and herbs in bloom is astounding and I’ve been expanding my knowledge of them all. White trillium, bloodroot, hyssop and purple coneflowers are a few of my favorites.

Wish List
As much as I love summer, I’m far less interested in adding to my wardrobe this season. I tend to live in the same dresses and sets, and prefer to keep my eyes out for anything fall related as that’s when all my style inspiration comes to life. I went ahead and purchased this incredible Ralph Lauren coat that I can’t wait to wear in Scotland!
With that said, I recently purchased two sets from Laneway The Label and may snatch another pair of shorts in this ivory shade. I also love the Pop Boxer from Donni. My friend Shane bought these pants from Clyque so I hopped on the bandwagon and am (not so) patiently awaiting my preorder! I think they will be perfect for August travel.
The Deia sandals from Margaux will likely be added to cart sometime soon. Or the Agora from Bernardo. I plan to wear these will all of the above or my favorite Doen dresses.
I am obsessed with the return to 1950’s top handle bags. I think they are so chic and timeless. I adore the Mini Holly from Tusting. The taupe is versatile but the powder and ice blue are equally summer in step. I have eyes on this Miu Miu and this Gucci.
I was in Leipers Fork last week and stopped into Dwell and Den. They had the dreamiest vintage textile blankets which sparked an idea for a future collection of quilts that can be swapped seasonally. This one and just about everything else from The Textile Trunk is perfect.
